About us

We develop free resources to help churches apprentice in the Way of Jesus.

Our culture is distracted, fragmented, and hurried. Many of us are simply too busy and exhausted to have a meaningful life with God.

We need what Dallas Willard called a “curriculum for Christlikeness” – a clear path to being formed by Jesus in the modern era, rather than being counter-formed by a culture that skims near the surface.

To that end, we’ve created free resources to help people learn how to be with Jesus, become like him, and do as he did. We help communities integrate the practices and rhythms of Jesus and his earliest followers, creating space for the Holy Spirit to form people of depth and love.

Our Founder

About John Mark Comer

John Mark Comer is a teacher and writer in Topanga Canyon, California.

For nearly two decades, he was the founding pastor at Bridgetown Church in Portland, Oregon. The church spent many years working out discipleship to Jesus in the post-Christian West, and organized the community around a simple idea: practicing the Way of Jesus together.

After leading a five-year initiative around spiritual formation they called “Practicing the Way,” he stepped away from his role in 2021 to create simple, beautiful formation resources for church communities around the world.

Today, he’s developing new Practices, Courses, and podcasts for Practicing the Way and serving as a teacher in residence at Vintage Church LA with his wife T and their three kids.
